Cintamani, the wish-fulling jewel is associated with resplendent beauty, with Dhyani Buddha Ratnasambhava, and with the southern aspect of the mandala.
Cintamani stands directly south of the Odiyan mandala, in an open field overlooking a broad vista of orchard, gardens, Pacific ocean and expansive sky. The south is where the Dharma, like the sun, directs its golden rays most strongly, illuminating blessings that flow outward from the mandala in all directions.
The sound of prayer flags dancing with the ocean wind provides the music for Cintamani Temple and its spacious plaza. Blessings radiate from the prayer flags and the humming prayer wheels at the temple’s base.
