Odiyan Retreat Center

SACRED ART

Join our unique Buddhist art projects. At the Odiyan foundry we are making over 400 Buddhist statues in bronze using the lost-wax method.  You will learn the craftmanship of molding, casting, and working with metal (welding and shaping). We are also creating a circular walkway of large-scale Buddhist symbolic art surrounding the main temple of Odiyan. You will learn concrete casting and shaping,  (rounded  and decorative forms), and skills in working with wood, metal  and clay.
