While Bodhicitta is often translated literally as ‘enlightenment mind,’ it is not related to thoughts. Bodhicitta is universal goodness that never fails. It has the power to dispel all obstacles; it cannot be manipulated by the Marayas, and its light cannot be diminished or destroyed. Its blessings illuminate our minds and lift us out of the confining realms of samsara.
Through prayer and meditation, we will exercise our capacities to connect more quickly with blessings and move ourselves up to the gates of enlightenment.
