ODIYAN CARING PROGRAM

The Caring Program Path is a set of courses based on the book ‘Caring’ by Tarthang Tulku. This new ‘Caring’ approach has the power to integrate ‘head and heart’ so we can learn to take care of our body, heart and mind with a compassionate and wise friendship towards ourselves and others.

 

Potential of the Program

You will practice relaxation and ease.
You will be able to access the vast inner resources of caring.
You will explore our shared humanity within yourself and in your relationships.
You will develop an unconditional friendship with yourself and your mind.
You will learn to transform negativity and remove the roots of suffering.

 

Course 1:  Caring for Yourself – Gestures of Joy

Explore caring from the heart as the starting point to self-care

  • Integrate your head and heart to have a caring and joyful life.
  • Explore your beliefs about caring for yourself.
  • Learn about your obstacles to caring
  • Practice attitudes and behaviors that express your true caring nature.
  • Create new conditions to care for yourself and others in a positive way.
  • Fill your heart with gratitude and become friends with who you are now.

This course is experiential in nature with gentle Tibetan Yoga exercises, breathing practices, and guided meditation.

Course 2:  Caring for Emotions – Gestures of Compassion

Discover the caring process that heals emotionality

  • Explore our inner conditions that result in emotional reactivity
  • Learn and discover how emotional patterns really happen
  • Practice the attitude of unconditional acceptance that can heal emotions
  • Face the challenges of transforming negativity
  • Discover and immerse into the language of the heart
  • Apply the process of healing emotions during daily life

Classes are experiential in nature with practices, Tibetan Yoga exercises, guided meditation, visualization and reflections and group sharing

Course 3:  Wisdom of Caring

Make a commitment to grow in wisdom by caring for mind.

  • Learn to care for mind by understanding how it works, treasuring its knowledge, and engaging its powerful energy.
  • Practice using our minds without distraction or being overwhelmed by core mind patterns that limit experience.
  • Notice the ways that operations of mind and language keep us trapped in suffering.
  • Engage in vigorous contemplation to be well-grounded, and manifest wise mind, joyful energy and deep patience.
  • Explore embodying caring and wisdom ourselves.

The Caring Path

As we traverse the Caring path, appreciation moves us towards unbounded freedom that
arises from within the stream of care.

Caring feelings, Caring thoughts, Caring actions become infused with a sense of peace,
satisfaction, love and offering.

On this journey, you are the vehicle and Caring is the path.
